Kompakt has reissued Studio 1. Kompakt's co-founder Wolfgang Voigt has made this decision after intense pressure from fans of this series of releases from the 90's. These untitled releases were only known by their color. This CD only reissue is the root of today's minimal movement. These tracks sound as fresh today as they did upon first hearing them nearly 15 years ago. Big appreciation to Voigt for releasing these and continuing to push the boundaries of music today. Studio 1 is just one of many aliases for this prolific electronic genius. Be sure to check out his experimental ambient work as Gas! A personal favorite.
