Yes, I DID watch today's Michael Jackson Memorial. I am a pop culture whore and I know it, but I also wanted to watch it. He was the soundtrack of my youth from the 70's well into the 90's. I think it was a very tasteful, fitting tribute to the man. I actually wish it could have gone on and on with various artists performing his hits. The music made the day. This performance stood out to me for many reasons, but primarily because JHud tore this song up. How the girl has kept it together through this entire last year of her life astonishes me. Take a minute and watch.

Palov & Mishkin
Stumbled across this release on Friday. Nice random disc for a scorching weekend of pool time and cocktails. Palov & Mishkin hail from Greece and have created some serious beats. Think Twice is an eclectic blend of fat, chunky beats and a touch of Tropicalia! Interesting and satisfying combination. The sound is really fresh and I'm eager to hear more from them. Check it out.

Happy 4th of July y'all
Until SNL makes this available in higher quality, here's the best I could find.
All Things Bjork
Here is a link to Bjork's DJ set on NPR.Enjoy!
Also, be sure to read the Interview Magazine article and check out the amazing photos. Also, Netflix has copies of Voltaic and Sherman will be enjoying it this weekend (sorry for the odd noises neighbors, but it's gotta be in surround sound).
