Coachella 2009 in 4 Mins

Very cool!

Coachella according to LA Weekly

Really like their take on the weekend. It explains my absence from the event this year.

Legendary

Coachella

Well, Coachella's 10th Anniversary is finally here. Unfortunately, Sherman will not be attending. Just can't shell out that kinda cash for the less than stellar lineup. Call it a protest, call it disappointment, call it what you will. To all of those attending...have a great time. Be safe. Here's a clip from a favorite performance.

Maybe there IS a reason to go to Coachella

Sherman has been very upset because of the lame line up for this year's Coachella. It's almost an insult to those who have attended in the past. In fact, it's been tough to even shell out money for a ticket. This may change things for at least one of the days...this just in from Jakers re: Antony & the Johnsons.

"Coachella attendees will get to see an exclusive electronic-tinged Antony performance when he joins forces with whimsical composer/beat guru Matthew Herbert at the California festival on April 19."

There aren't words to describe seeing Antony perform live. It is emotionally overwhelming. I cannot even imagine what he and Matthew Herbert will come up with, but it just might be the Coachella addition I have been wishing for! Here's yet another intense song/video from the genius.

More please!

Still no additional acts lined up for Coachella this year. It's breaking my heart. I thought they would pull out all the stops for the 10th anniversary. It's getting closer and no other announcements. Argh. My fingers are still crossed.

Coachella Lineup

Here's the site. A few of my favorites from the list...Leonard Cohen, Antony & the Johnsons, Conor Oberst, Groove Armada, The Bug, M. Ward, Peanut Butter Wolf, Peter, Bjorn & John, Hercules & Love Affair (cannot wait for this!!), Thievery Corporation, Roni Size and Band of Horses. Looks to me like they couldn't get headliners for Saturday day or Sunday. The Cure played Coachella already and the Killers are not headline worthy. Expect more artists to be added to sweeten the lineup.

This song live will be unreal! Only question is will Antony provide the vocals considering he's playing the following day??? A girl can dream, right?!

Coachella...on layaway!

Brilliant news from the organizers of the Coachella Valley Music Festival! Tickets for the three day event can be purchased through layaway plan. Love it! After the fest lineup is unveiled this week, fans will have two options besides money up front when buying a $269 three-day pass: pay half down and the rest April 1, or pay 10% followed by equal installments on March 1 and April 1 without interest or additional fees. The plans are sold only online and aren't available for single day admission cost.

Can't wait to hear this week's lineup. Hey Seattle folks, what an excuse for some sunshine and great music!! Come on down!

Here's a couple of favorite moments from Coachella's past.
